What Is a Work Visa?



Work visas are required for individuals who wish to take on employment or engage in business activities in the host country. There are several types of work visas that depend on the nature of the work and length of stay. For example, working holiday visas allow individuals to temporarily take on employment while travelling through the country.



Visa requires the applicant to attend a personal interview in high commission , but mostly countries ask for a personal interview very rarely for Work visa. The Visa is stamped on the passport or sent by email. This Visa is commonly a stamp endorsed on the applicant’s passport or any other Work document.



Application Type

You can apply for two types of visas online :

First Time (New) : You can apply for a new visa if you do not possess a valid reqquired country visa.

Extension : You can apply for a visa extension if you posses a valid visa and you are residing in country.



Citizens of foreign countries who have a valid job offer and meet the requirements are eligible to apply for this visa.

  • Recommendation letter By BOI/MOI (In case of Extension)
  • Contact Details of the Sponsor
  • Undertaking on company letterhead/In case of CPEC/Government approved project, letter from concerned department /ministry
  • CV of applicant
  • Covering letter on company’s letter head
  • Company profile
  • Employment agreement
